Dealership websites

I joined Strathcom Media in 2011 to be part of web team to design intuitive and user-friendly websites for a variety of automotive dealers and manufacturers across Canada.

As designer my role involves designing custom website mockups, marketing assets including landing pages, display ads for PPC landing pages, coupons, and promotions. These projects were pitched with very little heads-up, and then executed on a short a timeline. Also, part of my daily activity was to maintain and manage up to 25 assigned projects. In addition, maintained company's WordPress blog and other internal projects.

I collaborated with a diverse team of designers, developers, online marketing managers, copywriters, and SEO specialists.

Every 18 months, Strathcom's web team would do a redesign of dealer's website.

Market Platform

In 2015, I was transitioned from web design team to the developers department to assist the team to work on various projects, such as:

• Dealer CMS - member of an internal team developing Strathcom's CMS solution, built on Django CMS. I worked on creating stylesheets with the extended use of Bootstrap framework and global templates, such as search inventory, vehicle description page, build and price, etc. that the web design team will be integrating with their design.
• Honda Certified Used Vehicles - worked with a developer, and Online Marketing Manager to update their site, and transform their existing design to be responsive and mobile ready.
• Market Platform - a client facing Django framework web application which is a set of automotive dealer tools where dealerships manage their inventory, follow up on their leads, manage their customers, send out campaigns and more. Improved the user interface to be modern, consistent, and clean.

A couple of months after, I have become the sole designer for Market Platform team to focus more on maintaining and designing additional tools and features.

My daily activities included creating wireframes, interface design, working on scalable CSS and CSS architectures, and take an iterative approach to design based on client feedback and peer review. I make sure everything works cross-browser and across devices. I work closely with the developers and product manager.
